The upcoming horror film ‘The Banshee Chapter’ will be produced by Zachary Quinto’s production company Before The Door Pictures (BTD), Collider is reporting. The movie, which is being helmed by first time feature director Blair Erickson, who also wrote the screenplay, is set to begin principal photography this month in New Mexico. ‘The Banshee Chapter,’ which is being executive produced by Arnold Beutel, Quinto and BTD’s Neal Dodson and Sean Akers, will follow a young, female journalist who tries to find a missing friend. Zachary Quinto (“Heroes”, “Stark Trek”) is slated to portray the famed composer and pianist George Gershwin in an upcoming DreamWorks Pictures biopic, one of three projects on the calender that Steven Spielberg is looking at directing. Shooting on the film could begin as soon as April 2010, based on a script by Doug Wright that Marc Platt and singer/pianist Michael Feinstein are producing. Gershwin was 38 when he passed away in in 1937 due to complications from what is considered to be a tumor.
