If Kravitz and Okonedo officially join the cast, Kravitz will play the role of Smith’s daughter and Okonedo will play Smith’s wife. “1000 A.E.” tells the story of an Earth that is no longer hospitable to human life. Smith is a hero, and his son is, sadly, considered a failure. When they happen to crash-land on the desolate terrain of Earth, the roles reverse, and…

When asked about the passion comic book fans have about the film, Kravitz responded, “Yes, it’s crazy! I’ve never been into comic books, so I was never in that world. When the trailer came out, I looked at it on Youtube and there were pages and pages of comments. People were getting heated. And all the blogs–it’s crazy! This is really near and dear to a lot of people, so I hope I don’t…

It's Kind Of A Funny Story Gets It Right With Poster #2

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

So Dinner for Schmucks wasn’t that great and Twelve was downright awful, but that doesn’t mean 2010 will be a bummer for Zach Galifianakis and Emma Roberts. They’ve still got It’s Kind of a Funny Story on the way and based on the trailer, the film will be hilarious and pretty endearing, too. It’s based on the novel by Ned Vizzini and stars United States of Tara’s Keir Gilchrist as the lead character, Craig. He’s a teen suffering from depression who opts to check himself into a psychiatric hospital. The youth ward is under renovation, so Craig has to bunk with the adults. That’s where he meets Bobby (Galifiankis), another…

Sample Some Twelve In The Film's Official Trailer

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

Having loved Nick McDonell’s novel Twelve and eagerly awaiting Joel Schumacher’s big screen adaption, I had no problem forgetting about the swarms of negative reviews that emerged from Sundance. Now that the film’s official trailer is here, I can ignore the panning no longer because I see the problem; Schumacher has stripped the story of any heart and turned it into a teen drama à la Gossip Girl. When casting details first arrived, I assumed Rory Culkin was taking the lead role of White Mike. I’m sure he makes a fine Chris, but Chace Crawford is just way too pretty to be playing a troubled drug dealer. It doesn’t help…

Hong, Amy Sedaris, Campbell Scott, James Urbaniak It’s characters like Gonzo Gilman that make you wonder if you accomplished anything that great in high school. Yes, good grades and a slew of extracurricular activities get you into college, but what about the things that make a difference and make a lasting impact? High school administrators are lucky Beware The Gonzo is only a movie, otherwise there’s a good chance the education system would come crumbling down. Eddie ‘Gonzo’ Gilman (Ezra Miller) is certainly not the popular kid at Parker…
