Dirk Blackman and Howard McCain, who recently penned “Outlander” and co-wrote “Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans”, have been hired for the big-screen adaptation of the Red 5 comic book “ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction”. The comic, created by “Underworld” creator and writer of Marvel Comics’ “New Warriors” title Kevin Grevioux, follows an elite team of soldiers sent on a covert operation into hostile territory in the Middle East to stop what they soon discover to be a government-created army of the undead, the result of a secret weapons project gone terribly wrong.
