Chasing Perfect Exclusive Clip
Frank Stephenson appears in an exclusive clip from director: Helena Coan’s documentary, ‘Chasing Perfect.’

Sometimes the pursuit of excellence for the world finds its start in relative isolation from society. That’s certainly the case for famed car designer, Frank Stephenson, who at times finds his inspiration from the remoteness of the woods, and not from what’s currently trending in modern concepts. The new documentary, ‘Chasing Perfect,’ is powerfully showcasing the craftsman’s process of connecting with the natural environment around him, as he prepares his next design.

In honor of Stephenson’s work process being brought to screen, ShockYa is premiering an exclusive clip from the movie, which is titled ‘Nature.’ In the clip, the car designer walks through the woods, and shows off his favorite tree, which helps inspire him.

‘Chasing Perfect’ marks the feature film directorial debut of helmer Helena Coan. The filmmaker’s new documentary is now available on all major VOD platforms, courtesy of 1091 Media.

The movie invites viewers into the life of Stephenson, the man behind some of the world’s most iconic car designs. In a career spanning over 33 years, Stephenson applied his meticulous and creative process to a vast cross-section on the motoring spectrum, having led design teams at Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, MINI and McLaren. He’s responsible for the shape of such cars as the MINI, Fiat 500, Ferrari FXX, McLaren P1, amongst others. ‘Chasing Perfect’ reveals Stephenson’s inspiration and meticulous creative process behind each car, which gives viewers a unique insight into his unrelenting chase for aesthetic perfection, as well as his unique vertical move into electric aircraft design with Lilium Aviation.
