Actresses Darcy DeMoss and Courtney Akbar star in director Minh Collins’ horror film, ‘Clown Fear.’

Sometimes women ultimately choose to not be tied down, and instead maintain their independence, by forgoing the typical married life that society expects of them. But the runaway bride in the upcoming horror film, ‘Clown Fear,’ is realizing too late that chasing liberty isn’t as freeing as she initially perceived.

The former wife-to-be and her bridesmaids are finding themselves in another precarious situation that’s hampering their advancement to independence in ‘Clown Fear’s new official trailer. The terror that the women are facing in the trailer was unleashed by Lionsgate, which is set to release the movie in the U.S. on February 18 on DVD, Digital and On Demand.

Avail Films will be handling foreign sales on the drama, whose title was changed from its original name, ‘Circus Road,’ to ‘Clown Fear’ by Lionsgate. The film was directed by Minh Collins, who also co-wrote the script with actress Sadie Katz. In addition to Katz, ‘Clown Fear’ also stars Courtney Akbar, Randy Wayne, Darcy DeMoss, Gianni Capaldi and Augie Duke. Asif Akbar, Phillip B. Goldfine and Collins also served as producers on the movie.
