‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ and ‘Super 8’ lead the award winners at the 38th Annual Saturn Awards last night, as each film was honored with three awards. The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films presented the Saturn Awards in Burbank, California for the top honors for genre entertainment from February 1, 2011 to January 31, 2012.<\/p>\n

The Best Science Fiction Film award was presented to ‘Rise of the Planent of the Apes.’ ‘Super 8’ was presented with Best Director for J.J. Abrams, Best Music for Michael Giacchino and Best Best Performance by a Younger Actor for Joel Courtney.<\/p>\n

‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2’ was awarded for Best Fantasy Film, while Best Horror Thriller Film went to ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.’ ‘Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol’ was named Best Action\/Adventure Film.<\/p>\n

For television, awards were given to show shows as ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Fringe.’ Best Syndicated\/Cable Television Series went to ‘Breaking Bad,’ while the show’s, star, Bryan Cranston won for Best Actor on Television. His co-star, Aaron Paul, won for Best Supporting Actor on Television. Meanwhile, ‘Fringe’ won Best Network Television Series.<\/p>\n
