Penn is being courted to take the lead position for Warner Brothers latest project \u2018Crazy for the Storm\u2019, a memoir of writer Norman Ollestad. In what sounds like the perfect Danny Boyle plot, the movie will chronicle \u201cOllestad&#8217;s relationship with his father and how the skills his father instilled in him helped him survive after a plane crash stranded him on a mountaintop&#8221; at the age of just 11 years old.  The big screen adaption has been penned by writer Will Fetters of \u2018The Lucky One\u2019 and \u2018Remember Me\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Crazy for the Storm\u2019 is slated to be produced by Bill Gerber of Gerber with the help of both Fonda Snyder and Rob Weisbach. A targeted premiere date has yet to be announced.  Sean Penn\u2019s previous directorial work includes the Peter Gabriel video entitled &#8216;Play&#8217;, &#8216;Bruce Springsteen: The Complete Video Anthology 1978-2000&#8217;, &#8216;The Pledge&#8217;,&#8217;The Indian Runner&#8217;, &#8216;The Crossing Guard&#8217;, among others.
