The first official clip from the new comedy ‘General Education,’ titled ‘Grandpa Lee Roy,’ has been released. The clip follows Levi Collins, played by Chris Sheffield, as he discusses with his father, Rich, portrayed by Larry Miller, how all of the men in their family have attended the same local college to play tennis. Levi is feeling the pressure from Rich and his mother, Gale, played by Janeanne Garofalo, to succeed in school and do academically and professionally better than his brother, Brian, portrayed by Bobby Campo. Rich also emphasizes how Levi’s great-grandfather Lee Roy was the first to play tennis in college.<\/p>\n
\u2018General Education\u2019 marks the feature film directorial and writing debut of Tom Morris. The comedy is playing in select theaters nationwide, in such cities as New York, Phoenix, Boston, Dallas, Tucson, Seattle, Columbus, Ohio and Chico-Oroville, California.<\/p>\n
‘General Education’ follows Levi as he\u2019s set to graduate and receive an athletic scholarship to the same local university Rich attended. With Rich and Gale setting high expectations for their second son and continue the family\u2019s legacy of playing tennis, Levi must sacrifice his own happiness and his grades to succeed in the family sport. However, Levi finds out he failed science and must attend summer school in order to get his diploma.<\/p>\n
So Levi elicits the help of his younger sister, Emily (portrayed by McKaley Miller), his neighbor and side-kick, Charles (played by Skylan Brooks) and his friend Shady Nick (portrayed by Seth Cassell) to cover for him with his parents and complete his coursework. While in summer school, Levi becomes attracted to one of his classmates, Katie (played by Maiara Walsh), while he tries to juggle as the tournaments his father pressures him to play. But he\u2019s determined to not only pass his class so that he can graduate, but also find what truly makes him happy.<\/p>\n
