Cast member include Genie award winner John Savage (&#8220;The Deer Hunter,&#8221; &#8220;Godfather III&#8221;),  Independent Spirit nominee and Saturn award winner Ed Furlong (&#8220;American History X,&#8221; &#8220;Terminator II&#8221;), SAG nominee Stelio Savante (&#8220;A Million Colours,&#8221; &#8220;Ugly Betty,&#8221; &#8220;My Super Ex Girlfriend&#8221;) , Young Artist Award winner Julianne Michelle  (&#8220;Apartment 1303 3-D,&#8221; &#8220;Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,&#8221; &#8220;Shannon\u2019s Rainbow&#8221;), Golden Globe nominee Steven Bauer (&#8220;Scarface,&#8221; &#8220;Traffic&#8221;), and Sean Stone (&#8220;Savages&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>The film follows a young woman (Julianne Michelle) who returns home after 14 years to unravel the mystery and discover the truth about her mother&#8217;s death. &#8220;The Awakened&#8221; is written and produced by Joycelyn Engle, and the psychological, suspense thriller begins filming in the The Hamptons, New York in September. &#8220;The Awakened&#8221; is a Supernova Media production. Supernova Media, based in New York and LA is an emerging independent film production company.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Awakened&#8221; is directed by Arno Malarone and it is written by Joycelyn Engle and Christopher M.
