The Transformers franchise, about a war on Earth waged between warring factions of a robot species that can transform into vehicles, began as toys retroactively covering a range of Japanese toys from the 1970’s into a single line in 1984 that has since grown to include animated series and films, as well as the 2007 live-action film and the upcoming sequel. The first “Superion” Transformers toy debuted 1986 and was the Autobots’ first “combiner”, made from putting together several different airplane-based figures into a single larger figure. <\/p>\n
“Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen” is due to hit theaters June 26th, 2009.<\/p>\n
