“Iron Man”, directed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey Jr, Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, and Gwyneth Paltrow, was released May 2, 2008 and is nominated in these categories;<\/p>\n
Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Motion Picture
\nBest Single Visual Effect of the Year
\nOutstanding Animated Character in a Live Action Motion Picture
\nOutstanding Models and Miniatures in a Feature Motion Picture
\nOutstanding Compositing in a Feature Motion Picture<\/p>\n
Other movies nominated this year include “The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian”, “The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor”, “The Dark Knight”, Cloverfield”, “Bolt”, and “Hellboy II The Golden Army”. <\/p>\n
The Visual Effects Society, composed of 1,500 members from 17 countries and since 2002 has been honoring various films, TV shows, and video games at their annual awards ceremony. <\/p>\n
