The San Diego musician performed an exclusive live set of five news songs from the album, including the hit singles &#8216;My Oh My&#8217; and &#8220;I Was Gonna Marry You,&#8217; and also discussed touring with The Script.<\/p>\n<p>During the interview, Prettyman said that when she started writing &#8216;Cedar+Gold,&#8217; &#8220;I thought, &#8216;This is definitely going in towards a breakup album.&#8217; As I began to finish the record, the more I could see that the journey of the record really started after I stopped touring on the last album. I got really burned out on music.&#8221; She added that she wanted to take some time for herself, to travel, and &#8220;to kind of find my anchor again.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The title &#8216;Cedar+Gold&#8217; refers to the cedar walls and ceilings of Prettyman&#8217;s childhood home, where she still lives now. She also said the inspiration for the album came after she &#8220;got back together with an ex-byfriend, got engaged, unengaged-and music was the first place I ran to. Most of these songs were written in the moment right after a fight, right after a conversation, right after getting a voicemail.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Walmart Soundcheck is giving away five autographed &#8216;Cedar+Gold&#8217; Super Packs to Prettyman&#8217;s fans on Facebook. The packs include a signed &#8216;Cedar+Gold&#8217; CD, an autographed Soundcheck poster signed by the singer and a Prettyman &#8216;Peace, Love &#038; Tacos&#8217; T-shirt.
