Bendis teased back in September about the possibility of the title getting the live-action treatment, and now officially confirmed it. He talked to MTV’s Splashpage about it and said;<\/p>\n
“I just handed in a draft to the network and we’re getting our notes from the network as soon as this thing is over, […] So next week I’ll get the notes, and as long as they don’t involve sock puppets and some sort of orgy scene that I’m not interested in, then hopefully it will go in the right direction.”<\/p>\n
Created by Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, Powers was published by Image Comics from 2000 until 2004 when it moved to Marvel’s Icon imprint publication wing. Previously optioned by Sony for a film possibility at one point, “Powers” was created by Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming. It follows the cases of a police precinct in a world where superheroes and superpowers, while not uncommon, are still out of the oridinary, requiring a special branch of law enforcement to deal with “powers”, as they’re called.<\/p>\n
