Before, we talked about how Anchor Bay’s “Mimesis” was going to be “the next evolution in horror cinema.” You, like a lot of people (including myself) might have been wondering just how it was going to revolutionize the horror movie world. Well, now we’ve got the first clip from the film to look at, and, so far, it’s obvious that it’s made good on it’s promise of evoking “Night of the Living Dead.”<\/p>\n
To me, this film’s claim of going beyond horror movies is still mysterious to me, but if you’re intrigued the clip is below, as well as stills, box art and the official synopsis. <\/p>\n
“Why watch a horror film when you can live one?<\/p>\n
For over a century, fans have had their blood curdled and spins chilled by the vicarious thrills of horror films. Whether populated by ghouls, slashers, zombies or vampires, fans flocked to have their pulse quickened and exercise their scream-generating skills. But one thing remained constant: eventually the story ended, because it was only a movie. What if it didn\u2019t have to end? But as the sun sets, these strangers soon find themselves within a real life version of the 1968 George Romero cult horror classic ‘Night of the Living Dead!'”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
