“Scott Pilgrim”, created by Bryan Lee O\u2019Malley in 2004, details the life and times of slacker and bassist Scott Pilgrim, who falls in love with the beautiful Ramona V. Flowers and must defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends in martial arts combat before the two of them can actually date. The title is also known for its varied cast of friends and former lovers that appear in and interfere with the lives of Pilgrim and Flowers, as well as it’s mix of music subcultures, martial arts, and comedy. <\/p>\n
Edgar Wright, best known as the writing partner of Simon Pegg (“Shaun Of The Dead”, “Spaced”) is attached to direct the Michael Bacall-penned screenplay for “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World”, with Cera in the title role and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers. The film will also feature Brandon Routh, Chris Evans, and Kieran Culkan. Filming will begin in March of 2009. <\/p>\n
