Marc Abrams will be producing along with his Catapault 360 partner Michael Benson.<\/p>\n
“John writes from a real human place, and has already tapped into the relationship between young Anthony and his dad,” Abrams told Variety.com when Sayles’ confirmation was announced. The series, tentatively titled either “Scar” or “Scar Tissue”, will detail the early years of Kiedis and his father Blackie Dammett, a drug dealer and actor, as the two live in Hollywood and try to break into showbiz in the 1970’s. <\/p>\n
Kiedis’s “Scar Tissue” was released in 2004 by Hyperion books, with Larry Sloman co-writing and assisting in the research and compiling narratives for the story of Kiedis’s ups and downs in his life, including his relationship with his father, his drug addiction troubles, love life, and adventures with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The TV series is set to premier at the earliest at some time in 2010 on HBO.<\/p>\n
