\nMartin Bristol is back! Well, he could be back \u2013 with your support. Writer-director Stevan Mena is looking to complete his particularly violent three-film \u201cMalevolence\u201d\/\u201dBereavement\u201d series, but, in an effort to steer clear of folks who might insist he tone down the brutality, Mena is making this one totally independently. Taking a cue from the recent surge of films successfully funded via Kickstarter, Mena launched his own campaign for \u201cMalevolence 3.\u201d<\/p>\n

The films come from a book Mena divided into three stories. The first, the basis for the 2004 release, \u201cMalevolence,\u201d focuses on a group of bank robbers who hide out in an abandoned farmhouse after a heist. Little do they know, they\u2019re not really the bad guys because they\u2019ve chosen to lay low right down the road from the violent, deranged Martin Bristol. In the sequel, 2010\u2019s \u201cBereavement,\u201d we jump back to the day when Martin was only a little boy and get to experience the chain of events that kicked off his transformation into a full-fledged serial killer. <\/p>\n

Should Mena secure the necessary funds, \u201cMalevolence 3\u201d will hone in on an older Martin, entirely deranged and damaged from having been kidnapped and abused by his childhood captor, Graham Sutter. Back in suburbia and in the very same neighborhood he lived in as a boy, Martin kicks off a ruthless killing spree. Special Agent William Perkins is on the case, but the question is, will Perkins be able to bring Martin in and reunite him with the family that\u2019s been mourning him for over 10 years, or simply put him down to avoid more death?<\/p>\n
