An exclusive IMAX poster for the upcoming Tom Cruise action film \u201cOblivion\u201d has been released. The poster is, to me, quite staggering. Of course, some of my feelings could also come from the fact that I\u2019m afraid of heights, but I find that the image of Cruise\u2019s character Jack high above the clouds on some sort of futuristic landing pad to be quote evocative. We\u2019ve got the poster for you below; see what you think about it and write your opinions in the comments section!<\/p>\n

\u201cOblivion,\u201d called \u201can original and groundbreaking cinematic event\u201d from Joseph Kosinski, the man behind \u201cTRON: Legacy\u201d as well as the producers of \u201cRise of the Planet of the Apes.\u201d Cruise\u2019s character is a man who was put on Earth to gather as many Earthly resources as he can find, but his mission quickly changes when he comes across a mysterious survivor: <\/p>\n

\u201c2077: Jack Harper (Cruise) serves as a security repairmen stationed on an evacuated Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifying alien threat who still scavenges what\u2019s left of our planet, Jack\u2019s mission is almost complete. In a matter of two weeks, he will join the remaining survivors on a lunar colony far from the war-torn world he has long called home.
\nLiving in and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above, Jack\u2019s soaring existence is brought crashing down after he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. Drawn to Jack through a connection that transcends logic, her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he thought he knew. With a reality that is shattered as he discovers shocking truths that connect him to Earth of the past, Jack will be pushed to a heroism he didn\u2019t know he contained within.
