Breaking Glass Pictures and Libertine Films is bringing the directorial debut of \u201cTwilight\u201d star Kristen Stewart\u2019s mother to Blu-ray and DVD! <\/p>\n
\u201cK-11,\u201d directed by Jules Stewart, will be on DVD and Blu-ray April 23. The film, priced at $24.99 (DVD) and $29.99 (Blu-ray), is the dramatic tale of a man ending up in K-11, the Los Angeles County Jail\u2019s transgender inmate unit. Currently, \u201cK-11\u201d is screening in select theaters in fifteen cities in the U.S. and is available nationwide on Video On Demand. <\/p>\n
Before making her directorial debut, Stewart has been a script supervisor with over thirty years of Hollywood experience. Stewart formed Libertine Films with her business partner, producer Tom Wright, in 2010. After \u201cK-11,\u201d Stewart and Wright\u2019s first film, Stewart will start work on thriller \u201cThe Locked House,\u201d which is set to be released in 2014. <\/p>\n

K-11 stars Goran Visnjic (ABC-TV’s new hit series “Red Widow”, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, “ER”) as Raymond Saxx, a businessman whose drug use leads him to incarceration in the section of the Los Angeles County Jail reserved for LGBT inmates and firmly under the heel of Mousey (Mexican superstar Kate Del Castillo, Under the Same Moon, “La Reina del Sur”, “Weeds”), a malicious transgendered inmate. Saxx has no idea how he got there — all he knows is he needs to get the hell out…alive and intact. Aggressive cellmates, corrupt officials and his own issues are just a few challenges he faces with while he pieces together a way out of this entirely new kind of rabbit hole.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
\u201cK-11\u201d also stars DB Sweeney (\u201cTaken 2\u201d), Jason Mewes (\u201cJay & Silent Bob,\u201d \u201cClerks\u201d), Portia Doubleday (Kimberly Peirce\u2019s \u201cCarrie,\u201d \u201cYouth in Revolt,\u201d \u201cAlmost Kings\u201d) and Tommy \u201cTiny\u201d Lister (\u201cThe Fifth Element,\u201d \u201cJackie Brown\u201d). Stewart\u2019s son, Cameron, makes his film debut as Sledgehammer; Kristen also makes a special contribution to the film.
