The first promotional item for Spike Lee\u2019s remake of Chan-wook Park\u2019s \u201cOldboy\u201d has hit CinemaCon.<\/p>\n

The 2003 original focused on Oh Dae-su, a man who\u2019s kidnapped and held in a hotel room-like prison for years until he\u2019s suddenly released with no explanation at all. The Spike Lee rendition sticks with the original storyline, but swaps in Josh Brolin\u2019s advertising executive for Oh Dae-su, and this new poster appropriately represents the 20 years he\u2019s held in the prison, with each red etching representing a year.<\/p>\n

The 2013 \u201cOldboy\u201d cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Olsen, and Sharlto Copley, and is due in theaters on October 11th, 2013. <\/p>\n
