Fear of Everything<\/em>, the brainchild of longtime radio critic Paul O’Callaghan, is looking to come to life via the popular Kickstarter fund-raising site.<\/p>\n

O’Callaghan has been reviewing movies on his syndicated radio show for decades. And now he wants to make his own because he just wants something different to hit the screens. He’s dabbled in the filmmaking realm before, and one of his creations, the 2008 horror flick Gap<\/em>, gained a cult following of sorts. But even with that experience, he’s learning that the Hollywood process is a difficult and tedious journey.<\/p>\n

So look, the reason why this is being written about is simply because of the video O’Callaghan recorded on the Fear of Everything Kickstarter page<\/a>. Who wouldn’t want a guy like that to make a movie revolving around the below synopsis:<\/p>\n

The film deals with a central character who is an alcoholic. Then he seems to have delusional and hallucinatory episodes. Then we question whether he is interacting with dead people from his past. Then we question if he is the dead person. He is agoraphobic but he is chased from his house and wanders through a nighttime dreamscape that is just real enough to be a nightmare. Could he be dreaming? <\/em><\/p>\n

Anyway, just watch the video and if you want to throw money toward the project, feel free. The combination of an unorthodox persona making a movie about a crazy person could be a match made in independent film heaven.<\/p>\n
