Pennywise from Original Stephen King’s It<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

According to The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>, Warner Bros. is bringing Stephen King’s It<\/strong> to the big screen in a new adaptation produced by Lin Pictures and Vertigo Entertainment.<\/p>\n

Dave Kajganich is set to write the script about a group of kids called the Losers Club that encounter a child-preying creature called It. When the creature resurfaces twenty years later, the clan meets up again to destroy what truly haunts them.<\/p>\n

It<\/strong> was adapted into an ABC miniseries in 1990 that starred John Ritter, Harry Anderson, Tim Reid, Annette O’Toole, Richard Thomas and Tim Curry as It’s favorite form, Pennywise the Clown.<\/p>\n

The novel, which takes place in 1958 and 1985, will be modernized to apply to a new generation in the new adaptation.<\/p>\n

Kajganich is most notably known for writing 2007’s The Invasion<\/strong>, which starred Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig and Jeffrey Wright in the Invasion of the Body Snatchers<\/strong> remake, and is currently penning scripts for remakes of Pet Sematary<\/strong> and Escape From New York<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
