‘Bad Asses,’ the action drama that serves as the follow-up to last year’s cult hit ‘Bad Ass,’ has wrapped production in Los Angeles. The film follows returning Vietnam veteran Frank Vega, played by Danny Trejo<\/a>, who returns with a new partner, Bernie, portrayed by Danny Glover. The new partners take the law into their own hands as they clean up the streets.<\/p>\n

Filmmaker Craig Moss, who helmed ‘Bad Ass,’ returned to direct the sequel. ‘Bad Asses’ was produced by Ben Feingold, Ash Shah and Jim Busfield. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will distribute the film worldwide in early 2014 on Blu-ray, DVD, VOD and digital download. The home release will come after the producers theatrically release the follow-up at the end of this year.<\/p>\n

Since we last saw Frank, he followed his dream and opened a Community Center in East Los Angeles where he mentors young boxers, not only in the ring, but in life. When his prized student, Manny, gets in over his head with a bad crowd and winds up dead, Frank and Bernie team up, finding themselves ensnared in one life threatening predicament after another. Forced to escape using the only weapons they have \u2013 their wits and their fists \u2013 they must survive the onslaught of fury that is brought upon them and Frank\u2019s new found love from a high powered, politically connected foe, Leandro (Andrew Divoff; ‘Lost’).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
