Gravitas Ventures has released ‘Dreams<\/a>,’ the first clip from its new horror film, ‘Apartment 1303 3D,’ which was written and directed by Michael Taverna. The film is set to be released in theaters and on cable\/internet VOD on July 25, and is currently available for pre-order and special pre-theatrical VOD on iTunes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

‘Apartment 1303 3D,’ which stars Mischa Barton, Rebecca De Mornay and Julianne Michelle, is one of the first indie films to play in 3D in theaters and on VOD simultaneously. The movie is based on a novel by Ken Oishi, and is a remake of director-co-writer Ataru Oikawa’s 2007 Japanese horror film of the same name.<\/p>\n

After ‘Apartment 1303 3D’ opens, the filmmakers’ will be hosting a trivia contest, where one lucky fan will win a unique 3D poster from the movie, valued at over $500. To enter, audiences must like the film’s official Facebook page<\/a>, where the details of the contest will be announced next week.<\/p>\n

Gravitas Ventures has released the following synopsis for ‘Apartment 1303 3D’:<\/p>\n

Having grown up under the controlling grip of her fame-hungry mother (De Mornay), Janet Slate (Michelle) jumps at the opportunity to move into what looks to be a great high-rise apartment in downtown Detroit. Yet some deals are too good to be true as one night her boyfriend Mark (Corey Sevier) finds her in the middle of the street – having fallen from the balcony thirteen stories above. <\/p>\n

When her sister Lara (Barton) tries to investigate the mystery of what happened, she moves into the same apartment and encounters the odd neighbors in the building, including an eerie nine-year old girl who seems to somehow know the real reason for Janet\u2019s fall. Lara soon realizes that her sister\u2019s death might spell the same fate for her unless she can overcome the strange events that are terrorizing the inhabitants in Apartment 1303.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
