The anticipated, star-studded independent drama ‘Reach Me<\/a>‘ has turned to fans’ support online in order to complete filming. The contemporary film’s director, John Herzfeld, is in the process of working on the movie’s post production and additional shooting, but is looking for public support to finish the film through a Kickstarter<\/a> campaign.<\/p>\n

While boosting a versatile and talented ensemble cast, including Herzfeld’s long-time friend, Sylvester Stallone, as well as Kelsey Grammer, Kyra Sedgwick, Tom Berenger, Kevin Connolly, Thomas Jane, Nelly, Danny Aiello, Terry Crews, Lauren Cohan, Cary Elwes and Ryan Kwanten, the film lost a major investor midway through principal photography. As a result, he film was left several million dollars short of its needed budget. The director and his producer, Rebekah Chaney, put in their own money, and producer Cassian Elwes was able to secure a new loan in order to complete principal photography.<\/p>\n

Herzfeld is now seeking $250,000 to finish shooting ‘Reach Me’ through its Kickstarter campaign. The film already has 187 backers, with $5,490 pledged of its goal, and 21 days left for fans to donate money.<\/p>\n

‘Reach Me,’ which was also written by Herzfeld, was principally filmed in Los Angeles. The movie, which was initially announced to be produced by Seraphim Film Productions, is an uplifting ensemble story of about a dozen fractured characters, whose lives intertwine and eventually collide as a result of a self-published motivational book and its anonymous author.<\/p>\n

Herzfeld has called ‘Reach Me’ his passion project for the past 12 years. “Everything I have to say as a filmmaker and a man is packed in this story of redemption and hope, and I am lucky and thrilled to be working with a phenomenally talented cast that is realizing my dream,” the writer-director said.<\/p>\n
