Lars von Trier’s “Nymphomaniac” is a film I’m sure I won’t understand (and might not want to, to be honest about it). If you’re a fan of von Trier’s work, then you might be able to understand and love “Nymphomaniac” (Congrats!). <\/p>\n
Von Trier has been releasing small clips from “Nymphomaniac,” called “chapters,” which will entice von Trier’s hardcore fans and surely tease those of us who are virgins to his work. This chapter, “Chapter 3: Mrs. H” includes Uma Thurman as a woman whose husband is involved with Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg). Thurman presents Joe with some serious consequences–namely, what Joe’s “relationship” to Mrs. H’s husband is doing to Mrs. H’s children. To quote the official synopsis: \u201cKeeping track of a large network of lovers isn\u2019t always easy, and Joe is soon confronted with the unpleasant consequences of being a nymphomaniac. After all, you can\u2019t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.\u201d Check out the clip below the post and see what you think! “Nymphomaniac” also stars Shia LaBeouf, Willem Dafoe, Uma Thurman, Christian Slater, Stellan Skarsgard and Jamie Bell. The film, according to the official synopsis, “follows a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, who recounts her erotic experiences to the man who saved her after a beating.” “Nymphomaniac,” distributed by Magnolia Pictures, will be released to theaters early 2014.<\/p>\n
