Coming Soon<\/em> has posted the first pictures from the Nicolas Cage-Jay Baruchel movie The Sorcerer’s Apprentice<\/strong>. See them here<\/a>!<\/p>\n

The film, which also co-stars Teresa Palmer, was seen shooting in Brooklyn, New York yesterday. <\/p>\n

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice<\/strong> is about a sorcerer (Cage) who leaves his workshop in the hands of his apprentice (Baruchel), who gets into trouble when the broomstick he’s tasked to do his chores for him somehow develops a mind of its own.<\/p>\n

The movie, which is an extended, live-action version of the infamous short from Fantasia<\/strong>, is once again being produced by Disney and producer Jerry Bruckheimer.<\/p>\n

The script was written by a team of writers including Carlo Bernard, Lawrence Konner, Matt Lopez, Doug Miro and Mark Rosenthal and is directed by John Turteltaub, who has worked with Cage on the National Treasure<\/strong> series.<\/p>\n

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice<\/strong> is set for release on July 16th, 2010. <\/p>\n
