I remember being afraid of Y2K. I thought the world was going to end. Of course, I was also still a kid in high school, so don’t judge me; in fact, I’m sure there are some of you out there who were just as bugged out. In any case, those feelings of trepidation came back when I watched Vanity Fair’s latest video in their Decades Series, “Y2Krazy.” However, the trepidation didn’t just end when 2000 started.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, the feelings of fear continued throughout the 2000s once 9\/11 and the War on Terror began. “Y2Krazy,” directed by Rachel Grady and Heidi Ewing, shows just how much America–and then-President Bush and his cabinet–were groping in the dark, trying to make sense of the attack on American soil. Even after the historic election of President Barack Obama, we are still groping, trying to distance ourselves from the war that seemed impossible to end. “Y2Krazy” is part of Vanity Fair’s “Decades Series” of films celebrating the magazine’s 100th anniversary.
