Horror comes to the world of musical theater with the upcoming film, “Stage Fright.” The film is written and directed by Jerome Sable and stars Allie MacDonald, Douglas Smith, Brandon Uranowitz, Minnie Driver and one of the most legendary performers out there, Meat Loaf. <\/p>\n
The film follows a girl who wants to become big on Broadway, but soon finds out that she’s in for much more than bright lights. <\/p>\n
“Starry-eyed teenager Camilla Swanson wants to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a Broadway diva, but she’s stuck working in the kitchen of a snobby performing arts camp. Determined to change her destiny, she sneaks in to audition for the summer showcase and lands a lead role in the play, but just as rehearsals begin, blood starts to spill, and Camilla soon finds herself terrified by the horror of musical theatre.”<\/p>\n

The film will also be released in select theaters<\/a> May 9 in New York, NY at IFC Center 5, Portland, OR at the Hollywood Theatre, and Tucson AZ at The Loft Cinema. The film will later be released May 16 in Chicago, IL at the Music Box and Seattle, WA at the Grand Illusion Cinema.
