Forest Whitaker is feeling ‘Repentance’ as the horror thriller is now available on Digital HD, Video On Demand and Pay-Per-View. The film is also set to be released on DVD and Digital UltraViolet on June 24 by Lionsgate Home Entertainment and Codeblack Films. The DVD, which will retail for $26.98, includes a “Making Of” featurette.<\/p>\n
‘Repentance’ was directed by Philippe Caland, and written by Shintaro Shimosawa. The thriller also stars ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier<\/a>‘s Anthony Mackie, as well as Mike Epps, Nicole Ari Parker and Sanaa Lathan.<\/p>\n Lionsgate Home Entertainment and Codeblack Films have released the following synopsis for ‘Repentance’:<\/p>\n Years after a drunken car crash that almost took his life, Tommy Carter (Mackie) has reinvented himself as a therapist\/spiritual advisor who advocates a synthesis of world religions and positivity. He’s parlayed this vocation into a successful book release that one day draws the attention of Angel Sanchez (Whitaker), a profoundly troubled man fixated on the “untimely” death of his mother. When Carter takes on Sanchez as a personal client in an effort to raise funds for his indebted brother Ben (Epps), things quickly take a turn for the worse. Angel needs much more than a simple life coach.<\/p>\n What may be simple to grasp for some is the idea that single actions in the past comprise tidal waves of reactions in the present.
