A group of teens have accidentally unleashed a dark power from the other side, as ‘Oujia’ is set to be released on home entertainment. The horror movie, which marks the feature film directorial debut of Stiles White, is set to be released on Digital HD on January 13, 2015. The movie will then receive a Blu-ray Combo Pack release, which includes a Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD with UltraViolet, as well as an On Demand unveiling, on February 3 from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.<\/p>\n

‘Oujia’ was produced by Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (‘The Purge,’ ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,’ and ‘Friday the 13th’) and Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum (‘Paranormal Activity,’ ‘Insidious’ and ‘The Purge’). Their latest collaboration was co-written by White and ‘The Possession’ scribe, Juliet Snowden.<\/p>\n
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has released the following synopsis for ‘Oujia’:<\/p>\n
After Debbie (Shelley Hennig, ‘Teen Wolf’) suddenly dies, her best friend Laine (Olivia Cooke<\/a>, ‘Bates Motel’) attempts to contact her using an antique Ouija board she finds in Debbie\u2019s room. When the curious teen begins asking the board questions and stumbles upon the mystery of her friend\u2019s death, Laine discovers a resident spirit calling itself DZ, and eerie, inexplicable events begin to follow her. The group of friends digs deeper into the history of Debbie\u2019s house and are shocked to find that Debbie wasn\u2019t the first victim\u2014and won\u2019t be be the last if they don\u2019t figure out how to close the portal to the spirit world they\u2019ve opened.<\/p>\n
The otherworldly thriller also stars Douglas Smith (‘Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters’), Bianca A. Santos (‘The Fosters’), Ana Coto (‘DISconnected’) and Daren Kagasoff (‘The Secret Life of the American Teenager’).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
