Keanu Reeves frighteningly learns that some doors shouldn\u2019t be opened in the new teaser trailer and stills from his upcoming horror film, \u2018Knock Knock.\u2019 The psychological thriller\u2019s helmer, Eli Roth, unveiled the clip last night on Facebook before the movie had its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, during the Park City at Midnight section.<\/p>\n
\u2018Knock Knock\u2019s teaser trailer follows Reeves\u2019s character, Evan Webber, as he hears a knock on his front door during a rain storm. He suspiciously asks who\u2019s there as he approaches the door, and finds two young women desperate to find shelter from the rain. After he lets the two women in, they then ask him where his wife is, and he tells them she\u2019s at the beach with their two kids. While the trio spends time together as they wait for the storm to end, Evan insist he can\u2019t spend become involved with them, but they assert he can.<\/p>\n
The Sundance Film Festival has released the following synopsis for \u2018Knock Knock\u2019:<\/p>\n
Evan Webber (Keanu Reeves) is living the dream. Just look at his beautiful, successful wife, his two wonderful kids, and his truly stunning house\u2014which he designed himself. Of course he did. Things are going so well, Evan doesn\u2019t even mind spending Father\u2019s Day alone while the rest of his family heads out for a beach weekend. Then there\u2019s a knock on the door.<\/p>\n
The two young women (Lorenza Izzo and Ana de Armas) standing on Evan\u2019s doorstep are where Evan\u2019s dream takes a nightmarish turn. Given co-writer\/director Eli Roth\u2019s well-deserved reputation for creating cinematic discomfort, it should come as no surprise what happens next: Things get weird, and then dark, and then much, much, much darker. But this is no splatter film, so Roth keeps the horror nice and psychological as Evan\u2019s life\u2014and house\u2014get ripped apart, piece by beautiful piece.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
In addition to helming \u2018Knock Knock,\u2019 Roth also co-wrote the psychological thriller with Nicolas Lopez and Guillermo Amoedo, who he previously worked with on such horror films as \u2018Aftershock<\/a>\u2019 and the as-yet-to-be-released \u2018The Green Inferno.\u2019 Besides Reeves, Izzo, and de Armas, \u2018Knock Knock\u2019 also stars Aaron Burns, Ignacia Allamand and Colleen Camp.<\/p>\n
