Edgar (\u00a0Fernando Alves Pinto) narrates a non-linear story about life in\u00a0S\u00e3o Paulo. It starts with an event two years ago where he accidentally kills a mother and son in a car accident. Edgar was able to get off with very little time because of the corrupt legal system. \u00a0Julia (Alessandra Negrini) a DA and her lawyer partner Henrique (Neco Villa Lobos) are sent to Internal Affairs after their found connection to the gangster Maicon (Marat Descartes). Maicon is the mastermind of multiple murders and kidnappings. His only shot at getting off is getting in contact with assemblyman Jader Kerteis (Roberto Marchese) whose price tag is two million dollars. Edgar is living with guilt from the mother and child he killed and wants to put an end to the vicious cycle of the legal system, so his only shot is to stop the courier with the bank-load, with some high tech ingenuity and rescue his ex girlfriend Julia from Maicon.<\/p>\n

The Good: Lots of action. Funny dialogue. Fun cinematography and CG. Boobs and graphic sexuality. Lots of bloody violence and explosions. Is it Christmas already?<\/p>\n

The Bad: The subtitles flash too quickly and they’re difficult to read the yellow when the set and costume coloring has lots of yellow already. \u00a0There’s a lot of characters; most of which are pretty forgettable and don’t really add to the story. \u00a0They introduce characters and then you don’t really see them again, or you just don’t care. I don’t need to remember who these dudes are. \u00a0Yeah, they kind of show up here and there to show the connection to the main characters, but are they noteworthy? Not really.<\/p>\n

This film was made for audiences with a nanosecond attention span with sporadic acid flashbacks. \u00a0I liked the pacing and the non-linear narrative. It reminded me somewhat of Run Lola Run <\/em>meets \u00a0<\/em>Smokin’ Aces<\/em>. \u00a0There’s villains and anti-heroes. The lack of good guys made this film kind of refreshing.<\/p>\n
