The fear that naturally arises with introducing a person’s significant other to their family can leave a cripplingly and daunting feeling on almost anyone. That gripping fear is intriguingly presented in the new horror movie, ‘Trash Fire,’ which celebrated its Los Angeles premiere on Tuesday night at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival.<\/p>\n
The comedy’s cast and crew were joined by special guests at the TCL Chinese Theatre. Those in attendance included several ‘Trash Fire’ actors, including Angela Trimbur, Ray Santiago and Molly McCook. They were joined by the movie’s director, Richard Bates Jr.<\/a> Other guests who attended the premiere were Screamfest 2016 Ambassador and genre actress, Lydia Hearst<\/a>; Chris Hardwick; ‘Paranormal Activity’ writer-director-producer, Oren Peli; Louie Gibson; and Annet Mahendru.<\/p>\n ‘Trash Fire’s lead actor, Adrian Grenier, was unable to attend the horror comedy’s L.A. premiere at Screamfest. So the SAG Award-nominated performer recorded a video introduction that was shown prior to the start of the screening.<\/p>\n The horror movie, which had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this past January, follows a young man, Owen (Grenier), who finally agrees to take his longtime girlfriend for a weekend trip to meet his estranged family. With his parents having died in a fire, the visitors find themselves sharing a roof with Owen’s terrifying grandmother and his creepy sister who lives like a recluse in the attic.
