The new enterprise from the full service facility that produces world-class family 3D animated feature films will be led by industry veteran Ariel Veneziano. He will serve as President of Gold Valley Films International, where he will oversee worldwide sales, acquisitions, distribution and marketing, from GVFI&#8217;s Los Angeles headquarters. The news of GVFI&#8217;s launched was made yesterday at Santa Monica&#8217;s AFM.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This venture is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the best in the animation business,&#8221; said Veneziano. &#8220;I feel honored to have been chosen to lead an exciting team at Gold Valley and to ensure its success.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The first animated feature that will be released by GVFI is &#8216;Cinderella 3D,&#8217; which is an adaptation of the Brother Grimm&#8217;s fairy tale that will be presented in stereoscopic 3D. Budgeted at $20 million, the movie was written by Francis Glebas, who has also penned such hit animated movies as &#8216;The Lion King&#8217; and &#8216;Aladdin.&#8217; &#8216;Cinderella 3D&#8217; was directed by Lynne Southerland, who&#8217;s know for co-helming &#8216;Mulan II.&#8217; Victoria Ying, who has worked on such acclaimed films as &#8216;Frozen&#8217; and &#8216;Big Hero 6,&#8217; oversaw the visual development for GVFI&#8217;s initial project. The film is currently in production with planned completion in May 2017.<\/p>\n<p>In &#8216;Cinderella 3D,&#8217; the Prince has fallen into an evil spell by the Wicked Witch.
