{"id":16527,"date":"2009-07-15T00:00:23","date_gmt":"2009-07-15T07:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/?p=16527"},"modified":"2009-07-14T21:31:54","modified_gmt":"2009-07-15T04:31:54","slug":"thor-casting-news-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/2009\/07\/15\/thor-casting-news-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"Thor Casting News Announced Natalie Portman as Jane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marvel has announced that Natalie Portman has joined the cast of the big-screen adaptation of the classic title &#8220;Thor&#8221; as Jane Foster, the love interest of the Norse Thunder God cast to Earth from Asgard to learn humanity. <\/p>\n<p>Also confirmed are Chris Hemsworth as the hammer-wielding Thor and, as previously announced, Tom Hiddleston as the devious Loki, the trickster god and half-brother to Thor who desires the throne of Asgard to himself.  <\/p>\n<p>Marvel&#8217;s official synopsis of the film says that it will focus on &#8220;The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment.
