Witnessing the dangers of a totally connected world is one of the most important ways that people can realize how their environments aren’t always safe. The new eight-part anthology series, ‘Dark\/Web,’ combines a serialized narrative with stand-alone sci-fi-thriller segments in each episode. The series has released new images, in an effort to highlight the dangers of always being connected to the rest of the world. Felt Films has distributed the new stils to coincide with ‘Dark\/Web’ finishing its production this month.<\/p>\n

‘Dark\/Web’ was developed by brothers Michael and Tim Nardelli, as well as Mario Miscione. The trio also created the cult hit ‘Circle,’ which was purchased for distribution by Netflix last year. The series’ cast includes Gabriel Luna, Nicholas Brendan, Clare Kramer, Hannah Marks, Zelda Williams, Molly Hagan and Graham Sibley. Cassi Thomson, Brian Elerding, Brandon Scott, Siobhan Fallon Hogan, Michael Nardelli and Shannon Collins also appear on the sci-fi show. <\/p>\n

Each episode of ‘Dark\/Web’ explores themes related to the internet and the dangers present in the murky, unexplained layers of the web. Paranoia, isolation, vanity, loss of identity, the viral nature of ideas and social media pressures are just a few of the subjects the show tackles. Socially, the internet is as unifying and divisive as it’s ever been; only now, when the entire world is connected, it’s never been harder to unplug.<\/p>\n

In order to showcase diverse and varied points of view, each episode comes from different filmmakers. Standalone episodes from ‘Dark\/Web’ include ‘Eat. Prey. Love,’ from writer-director Roxy Shih; ‘Rideshare’ from writer-director Boman Modine; ‘Hacked’ from writer Christopher Webster and director Eric Salberg; ‘Zero’ from writer-director Zelda Williams; ‘Blackheart’ from writer-director Mario Miscione; and ‘Viral’ from writer-director Michael Nardelli.<\/p>\n

Once the production is completed, ‘Dark\/Web’ will be presented to buyers. The drama series is looking to premiere sometime this year.
