The clip features the Oscar-nominated actor inadvertently unleashing the powers of the former queen of Egypt, who has laid dormant for the past 2,000 years.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.universalpictures.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Universal Pictures <\/a>has released the following synopsis for &#8216;The Mummy&#8217;:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella), whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.<\/p>\n<p>From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, &#8216;The Mummy&#8217; brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In addition to Cruise and Boutella, &#8216;The Mummy&#8217; also stars Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/2016\/12\/08\/office-christmas-party-movie-review-2\/\">Courtney B. Vance<\/a> and Academy Award winner, Russell Crowe.
