Film audiences are delving back into the mysterious depths of one man’s fractured mind through the home release of the psychological thriller, ‘Split.’<\/strong> Filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan<\/strong> is once again unleashing the terror that initially caught the world by surprise this past winter, as the drama is now available on Digital HD. The movie will also be distributed on Blu-ray, DVD, On Demand and Blu-ray Combo Pack, which includes a Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD with UltraViolet, by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment next Tuesday, April 18.<\/p>\n

In celebration of ‘Split<\/a>‘s home release, Shockya is offering one lucky winner a Blu-ray of the horror film. To enter, email, us at ShockyaGiveaway@aol.com. ‘Split’ was written and directed by Shyamalan, who reunited with producer Jason Blum<\/a> on the drama, after they previously collaborated on the hit 2015 horror thriller, ‘The Visit<\/a>.’ In addition to McAvoy, the drama also stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Betty Buckley, Haley Lu Richardson and Jessica Sula.<\/p>\n

The filmmakers’ latest collaboration delves into the mysterious depths of one man’s fractured mind, as a terror unlike the world has seen prepares to be unleashed. ‘Split’ showcases how Kevin Crumb’s (McAvoy<\/a>) fractured mind has revealed 23 personalities. But one personality remains dangerously submerged, and is set to now materialize and dominate the others. Kevin reaches a war for dominance among all those that rage within him, which threatens his stability and impacts the survival of everyone around him.<\/p>\n

The Blu-ray and DVDs for ‘Split’ feature several bonus features, including an alternate ending and deleted scenes. The discs also include such featurettes as ‘The Making of Split,’ during which the filmmakers, cast and crew discuss what attracted them to the project, and how they were able to bring such a unique premise to life. Throughout ‘The Many Faces of James McAvoy,’ viewers are given a look at how the BAFTA Award-winning actor approached the challenge of playing so many different identities. In ‘The Filmmaker’s Eye: M. Night Shyamalan,’ the Academy Award-nominated Shyamalan speaks about how he has a singular, big-picture vision of his projects. Producers, cast and crew also discuss how the writer-director’s process gives them the freedom to execute their roles to the fullest.<\/p>\n
