With the upcoming release of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi<\/a>,” there are many, many people wondering what Luke Skywalker is wearing around his neck in the new teaser trailer<\/a>. Is it a crucifix? Is it the Star of David, or a Star and Crescent? We’ll have to find out on December 15.<\/p>\n

Well according to Making Star Wars<\/a>, it might be something from Darth Vader, his father’s, red lightsaber, or maybe it’s not:<\/p>\n

If Luke Skywalker has the last Darth Vader Kyber crystal, someone like Kylo Ren would really want it. I don\u2019t know why Luke Skywalker doesn\u2019t just destroy it. But he would clearly see that someone as into symbolism as Kylo Ren would be even more of a monster if he possessed it. If it is a story element, will Kylo get it back and stabilize his saber with the power source of his Grandfather\u2019s lightsaber? It doesn\u2019t sound like Kylo is getting it without getting better of Luke Skywalker first though.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The truth is we have no idea and the people at Making Star Wars<\/a> who have poured hours upon hours into this rumor have no idea either. Is it even important? And for all intensive purposes, it’s just a necklace. It’s another reference about Star Wars in a Star Wars movie. We’re going to have a lot of those coming up in “The Last Jedi.”<\/p>\n

The new Star Wars movie from Lucasfilm and the Walt Disney Company stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata.<\/p>\n

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” hits theaters everywhere on December 15.<\/p>\n
