Focus Features has released the first photo from co-writer-director Rupert Wyatt’s sci-fi thriller, ‘Captive State,’ which features John Goodman.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

John Goodman<\/strong> is protecting himself from the menacing ‘Captive State<\/strong>‘ in the first official photo from the upcoming sci-fi film. The still was released by Participant Media<\/strong>, which served as one of the production companies on the movie, which recently wrapped its shoot in Chicago.<\/p>\n

Focus Features<\/strong> will distribute the film in U.S. theaters on August 17, 2018. ‘Captive State’ is being directed by ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ and ‘The Gambler<\/a>‘ helmer, Rupert Wyatt. The director also co-wrote the original screenplay with Erica Beeney. In addition to Goodman<\/a>, the thriller also stars Ashton Sanders, Jonathan Majors and Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Vera Farmiga<\/a>. Wyatt is also producing the drama with David Crockett, while Jeff Skoll and Jonathan King are serving as executive producers.<\/p>\n
