Executive producer <strong>Tommy Vlahopoulos<\/strong> of <strong>Tommy V Films<\/strong>, along with executive producer Tom Sulkowski, have acquired the rights to the horror film, &#8216;<strong>Behind the Sightings<\/strong>.&#8217; The drama, which was directed by <strong>Tony Cadwell<\/strong>, is based on 112 hours of found footage of clown sightings that were recorded last year. <\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Behind the Sightings&#8217;s story follows Todd and Jessica Smith, two filmmakers from Raleigh in North Carolina, who set out to produce a documentary exploring the highly publicized, creepy clown sighting epidemic, which was investigated by local law enforcement. As the young married couple venture into Peachtree Way, Nash County, in search of clowns, what they found was far from funny. The psychological thriller is set to be released later this year. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Clowns have traditionally been associated with slapstick style performance, comedy or mime, but there has always been a dark side to a clown,&#8221; said Vlahopoulos. &#8220;This is not fake news; &#8216;Behind the Sightings&#8217; is centered around the terrifying clown sightings that shook the world last year, and an eager couple swept up in all the phenomenon.
