The past has a troubling way of catching up with people, no matter how far in the future they distance themselves from their previous actions. That troubling sense of time travel is one of the major sources of contention in the new sci-fi film, ‘Realive<\/strong>.’ The conflicts the protagonist, who’s played by Tom Hughes<\/strong>, unexpectedly experiences as he wakes up in his new future life will be explored when Syfy Films<\/a> releases the drama this fall.<\/p>\n

The distribution company has announced that it will unveil the movie in theaters on September 29, and then on VOD and Digital HD on October 3. ‘Realive’s U.S. release comes after it premiered at the 2016 Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, and was then an official selection of the FrightFest Film Festival in the U.K. and Sitges International Film Festival in Spain.<\/p>\n

‘Realive’ was written and directed by Mateo Gil<\/strong>. In addition to Hughes, the cast also includes Charlotte Le Bon<\/a>, Oona Chaplin and Barry Ward.<\/p>\n

Syfy Films<\/a> has unveiled the following synopsis for ‘Realive’:<\/p>\n

Marc Jarvis (Tom Hughes) is diagnosed with a disease and given a short time to live. Unable to accept his own end, he decides to freeze his body. 60 years later, in the year 2084, he becomes the first cryogenically frozen man to be revived in history. Marc discovers a startling future, but the biggest surprise is that his past has accompanied him in unexpected ways.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

‘Realive’ was produced by Ibon Cormenzana and Ignasi Estap\u00e9 of Arcadia Motion Pictures, in coproduction with J\u00e9r\u00f4me Vidal of Noodles. Marina Fuentes of Dreamcatchers acted as associate producer. <\/p>\n
