They frequently must overcome their misunderstood existence and prove that they&#8217;re just as worthy at enforcing the law as their male counterparts. That struggle for women to gain equal opportunities in the law enforcement community is showcased in the new documentary, &#8216;<strong>Fallen<\/strong>.&#8217; In support of the film&#8217;s upcoming release, Shockya is premiering an exclusive clip, which is titled &#8216;Proving Yourself.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/2017\/02\/09\/brooke-shields-narrated-documentary-bough-breaks-distribution-rights-acquired-gravitas-ventures\/\">Gravitas Ventures<\/a> is set to distribute &#8216;Fallen&#8217; into select theaters and on VOD next Friday, September 8. The movie marks the feature film writing, directorial, producing, cinematography and editing debuts of former detective turned filmmaker, <strong>Thomas Marchese<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Fallen,&#8217; which was narrated by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/2014\/10\/15\/american-horror-story-freak-show-s4-ep2-massacres-and-matinees-tv-review\/\">Michael Chiklis<\/a>, examines the statistics of US police officers who are killed in the line of duty, as well as the untold stories they leave behind. The officers&#8217; stories are  told through the eyes of their partners, families and communities, in order to provide a deeply personal look into the stories behind these statistics.<\/p>\n<p>Every 53 hours in the United States, a police officer is killed in the line of duty. However, these losses go mostly unnoticed, as they&#8217;re overshadowed by the sensational and politically charged headlines of the day.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Fallen,&#8217; which was filmed over a five-year period, showcases how truly dangerous the situation has become.
