Based in Vienna, Austria, British-born singer\/songwriter <\/span>Mark Peters<\/b> embarked on a solo career after playing guitar and writing songs for the band Seven Breaths. <\/span>Peters\u2019<\/b> newest release <\/span>24 Years<\/i><\/b> is a culmination of songwriting and raw emotions of the last 15 years in one laser-sharp, yet moderately ordinary, album.<\/span><\/p>\n

The lead off track \u201c<\/span>Memories<\/b>\u201d combines folk and soulful blues in a style that reminds me of <\/span>Kaki King<\/b> and <\/span>Damien Rice<\/b>. There\u2019s an honesty that speaks to the song\u2019s themes of longing and loneliness that feels like a distant memory. \u201c<\/span>Move Me<\/b>\u201d follows in the songwriter\u2019s earnest examination of a relationship\u2019s successes and failures. <\/span>Peters<\/b> balances the fine line between honest and corny, while delivering clean guitar sounds and soothing vocals.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Damien Rice<\/b> comparisons are true with the song \u201c<\/span>You Go Low<\/b>,\u201d which sounds better than the some of its parts.
