Sometimes it takes grippingly natural instincts to push people to explore the all-too-important concept that even he smallest moments can lead to life’s most significant advancements. That’s certainly the case for New York-based musician, Adam Bendy, who’s set to release his eight-track debut album, ‘Change,’ on May 3. Compelling arrangements, explosive instrumentation and progressive lyrics reflect the singer-songwriter’s stunning belief that any occasion, no matter how insignificant it may initially appear to be, can lead to a moral epiphany.<\/p>\n

Recording under the moniker of thinkbendy, the vocalist-instrumentalist’s refined and adventurous concept that even the smallest occasions can lead to life’s most significant moments effortlessly shines through during the entirety of his first record. ‘Change’ begins with one of its best standout entries, ‘Free.’ Clearly influenced by 1970s soft rock, and especially reminiscent of Elton John’s classic title track from his seventh studio album, ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,’ thinkbendy’s initial song encourages his listeners to enjoy their ride throughout their lives. The thought-provoking and inspiring lyrics of the ballad, which are driven by enthralling guitar riffs and charismatic arrangements, also inspires the musician’s audience not to be scared in life, and take the time to be free.<\/p>\n

Thinkbendy’s instinctive, refined and adventurous pop-rock odyssey continues as ‘Free’ transitions into his first record’s title track. ‘Change’ features stunning bass guitar riffs and piano that effortlessly stand out, but unfortunately, their potent and robust nature at times overpower the singer’s vocals.<\/p>\n

The musician powerfully redeemed himself with the standout tune, ‘Can I Ask You a Question,’ the fourth entry on ‘Change.’ The surprisingly up-temp jazz song features a stunning jazz vibe on its guitar riffs, which helps give the album a nice change in pace. The singer intriguinly proclaims that he’s ready to go on an adventure, and he feels it will be dazzling to journey with the person he’s interested in. The track has the potential to be a great number to hear performed live.<\/p>\n

Another notable tune on thinkbendy’s upcoming album is its penultimate entry, ‘Of One Mind,’ which thrives in part because of its slower tempo, jazz-inspired piano chords. The song impressively shows the vocalist’s vulnerability, as he fearlessly admits that he sometimes forgets about the things that make him happy. He then emphasizes that if everyone, not just himself, can see what makes them happy, they’ll become more content in life. The musician also questions that if people are of one mind, like the title suggests, and envision another way of life, they’ll more easily get along, and ultimately be better than they are today.<\/p>\n

‘Change’ then ends with the compelling and epic ballad, ‘Epiphany,’ which features stunning rock-inspired guitar riffs and pulsating piano chords. Thinkbendy reminds his listeners that life is what they make it, and when a meaningful and beneficial opportunity comes, they should take it. He ultimately encourages them to follow their fate, and reminds them that every choice they make affects their entire life path.<\/p>\n
