The act of teenagers exploring who they truly are, and how they fit into society, especially in a small town, can often lead to them to liberating themselves from oppressive situations. The characters in the upcoming drama, ‘Philophobia,’ particularly protagonist Kai, who’s played by Joshua Glenister, is a prime example of adolescents forging their own paths to freedom.<\/p>\n

In honor of ‘Philophobia’ bringing that teenage freedom to fruition when the film has its World Premiere on Sunday, October 13, ShockYa is exclusively premiering its poster. The movie is set to debut at the Heartland International Film Festival on the 13th at 4:30pm at the AMC Castleton Square Theater in Indianapolis. The World Premiere will be followed soon thereafter with a West Coast premiere at the San Diego International Film Festival on Thursday, October 17 at 2:30pm at the Theatre Box, with more festivals to follow.<\/p>\n

‘Philophobia’ was written and directed by Guy Davies. In addition to Glenister, the movie also stars Harry Lloyd (‘The Theory of Everything<\/a>‘), James Faulkner (‘Game of Thrones’) and Kim Spearman. The drama was produced by Fablemaze’s Toby Cook and Matt Cook.<\/p>\n

Set in the rolling hills of the English countryside, ‘Philophobia’ is a picture of small town adolescence. One week of high school remains for Kai, an aspiring writer, and his friends. How they choose to spend this time will awaken sexual desires, cost one of them their life, and leave them all changed forever.<\/p>\n
