Inheriting gifts from family members isn’t always as intriguing and beneficial as people may initially seem to believe. That’s certainly the case for the Coopers, a young married couple who unexpectedly inherit Button Hall from a distant relative. What makes the country home frightening, besides its crumbling nature, is the resident ghosts that are already living there. The husband and wife’s interactions with the collection of supernatural beings from different historical periods is chronicled on the British sitcom, ‘Ghosts.’<\/p>\n

The television show, which premiered last year on BBC One, was written and performed by many of the cast members of Horrible Histories and Yonderland. The series is the first post-watershed comedy by the ensemble. ‘Ghosts’ stars Charlotte Ritchie and Kiell Smith-Bynoe as the married couple, Alison and Mike Cooper, who must contend with the title beings after they move into the home and start to renovate it.<\/p>\n

‘Ghosts’ is now airing on the BBC One<\/a> channel on Filmon TV. (Note that the BBC One channel is only available for free to viewers in the UK, and international users who have a paid subscription.) The next episode to air on Filmon will stream this afternoon at 3:30-4pm local time. It can be watched live, or recorded and watched at a later time.<\/p>\n

Episode 1 of Series 1 of ‘Ghosts’ was written by Mathew Baynton and Jim Howick, and directed by Tom Kingsley. The episode follows Alison and Mike, who are strapped for cash, as they begin to think their prayers are answered when a distant relative leaves them the sprawling country estate. The duo must find a way to live within the old house, which is haunted by the ghosts of its former inhabitants. The restless spirits are just as horrified by their new housemates, especially since the spouses plan to turn the property into a bustling hotel.<\/p>\n

The BBC One channel is notable for offering something of value for everyone with a range of high-quality, popular programming for a modern UK audience. The channel was named Channel of the Year at the 2007 Broadcast Awards.
