Buried like 6 feet under. Though the headline crows about \u201cHopeful Results!\u201d in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cidrap.umn.edu\/news-perspective\/2020\/07\/hopeful-results-phase-1-moderna-covid-vaccine-trial\">Moderna COVID vaccine trials<\/a>, by the end of the paper we learn that 21% of people receiving the vaccine experienced a \u201cserious event.\u201d That means a life threatening one. That means you could die. A fifth of the people who take this vaccine could die and the CIDRP calls that \u201chopeful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>No surprise this disturbing news is about Moderna, which has been called, \u201cThe most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2016\/09\/13\/moderna-therapeutics-biotech-mrna\/\">secretive startup in biotech<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It all makes sense. Coronaviruses do their damage by getting your immune system to attack your own body. All the vaccines include corona in some formulation&#8211;aimed at building up your immune system to fight it. Do we trust that anyone really knows what they\u2019re doing?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow they want us to willingly (or forcibly) put that stuff in our bodies. After spending almost a year trying to avoid it. The virus NEVER killed anyone. Our immune systems did,\u201d said James P. Bradley, a Republican Congressional candidate from California who is also being courted to run against Gavin Newsom for Governor. The veteran Coast Guard Search &amp; Rescue expert also spent 30 years in healthcare innovation, including pioneering work in doctor tele-vists. He co-hosts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmon.com\/channel\/the-republic-of-malibu-podcast\">the Republic of Malibu Podcast<\/a> with Greek billionaire Alki David each week.<\/p>\n<p>According to the CIDRP paper, a total of 33% had at least some adverse event.<\/p>\n<p>This not-very-hopeful news comes on the back of a rising tide of distrust of vaccines. Worries that vaccinations in general cause problems for kids were recently boosted by a study from the University of Redding in California by Brian S. Hooker and Neil Z. Miller that shows <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC7268563\/\">huge increases in asthma, ear infections and developmental delays<\/a> among kids who get vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>But back to Moderna. Critics call the $6 billion company, which has never brought a product to market in its 10 year history, &nbsp;a ponzi scheme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a case of the emperor\u2019s new clothes,\u201d a former Moderna scientist told STAT.com. \u201cThey\u2019re running an investment firm, and then hopefully it also develops a drug that\u2019s successful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2020\/09\/04\/908305074\/bad-optics-or-something-more-moderna-executives-stock-sales-raise-concerns\">NPR investigation<\/a> in September revealed that Moderna execs were dumping their stock as fast as they can.<\/p>\n<p>Since January, CEO St\u00e9phane Bancel has sold roughly $40 million worth of Moderna stock held by himself or associated investment funds; Chief Medical Officer Tal Zaks has sold around $60 million; and President Stephen Hoge has sold more than $10 million.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On a scale of one to 10, one being less concerned and 10 being the most concerned,&#8221; Daniel Taylor, an associate professor of accounting at the Wharton School, told NPR. &nbsp;&#8220;this is an 11.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As Alki David, Bradley\u2019s co-host on the Republic of Malibu Podcast posted on his <a href=\"http:\/\/instagram.com\/alkidavid\">Instagram<\/a>: \u201cTake vaccines = You get sick.
