Columbia Pictures and director David Fincher have announced a core cast for “The Social Network,” the Aaron Sorkin-scripted film about the formation of Facebook, the social networking site.<\/p>\n
Jesse Eisenberg will play Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, with Justin Timberlake playing Napster co-founder and Facebook’s founding president Sean Parker, and Andrew Garfield will play Eduardo Saverin, the Facebook co-founder who fell out with Zuckerberg over money issues. <\/p>\n
The film will focus on the creation and evolution of the social networking website, created in 2004 at Harvard, and how the success of the project affected the lives of the founders. <\/p>\n
Production will begin next month in Boston and Los Angeles. Scott Rudin, Dana Brunetti, Michael De Luca, and Cean Chaffin will be producing “The Social Network”. Kevin Spacey is on board as the executive producer.<\/p>\n
